Account and plans
Your PCs
Use Matelume on up to two PCs, one at a time, and link, switch, unlink or move to a new PC.
Matelume Guide. Upcoming features are marked separately.
A personal Matelume account can have two PCs linked, and Matelume runs on one of them at a time.
Link a PC
Install Matelume on the PC and sign in: see Sign in and link your PC. The PC appears on My account under its Windows name.
Reinstalling or updating Matelume on the same PC keeps it the same PC, so it doesn't use a new place, as long as its settings folder (%APPDATA%\Matelume) stays.
Switch between your PCs
When you start Matelume on one PC while it's running on your other one, Matelume asks Switch to this PC?, saying "Matelume is running on your other PC."
- Switch to this PC moves your session here. Your other PC stops, and says "Matelume is now open on your other PC."
- If your other PC is in the middle of a job, such as a build, it finishes that job first. Meanwhile this PC shows Your other PC is finishing; click Check again to see if it's done.
- Cancel leaves things as they are.
See and unlink your PCs
- In Matelume, click your plan badge, then Manage my account. Or sign in at matelume.com and open My account.
- Under Linked PCs, each PC shows its name, whether it's running, and when it was last seen.
- Click Unlink next to a PC and confirm. Matelume on that PC stops within a few minutes. Its files stay.
Two other controls are easy to mix up with Unlink:
- Sign out of this PC, in Matelume's account view, signs that PC out but keeps it linked.
- Sign out everywhere, on My account, ends Matelume on all your PCs and signs you out of the browser.
Move to a new PC
- If two PCs are already linked, unlink the one you're leaving on My account.
- Install Matelume on the new PC and sign in.
- Copy your exported material folders across. They don't move by themselves.
After your account has used two different PCs, you can replace one PC every 30 days. If you try to link one more within that time, the link page tells you.
Note: Lost a PC, or can't unlink one? Contact support from your account's e-mail address.
