Wall art

Exporting wall art

Export the framed artwork as a GLB and an FBX with its materials and textures, plus the artwork's full map set and the frame's textures.

Matelume Guide. Upcoming features are marked separately.

The wall art export is a ready-to-import 3D asset: the artwork in its frame, exactly as the 3D view shows it, with the painting's and the frame's ageing included.

Exporting

  1. Check the facts at the top: Name (the material name at the top of the Studio), Artwork (its kind and size), Framed (the overall size and depth) and Quality.
  2. Under Folder, click Choose the folder.... The folder window may open behind the browser. You can also paste a folder path into the field; the line under it reads "Saves to" and the folder.
  3. Leave FBX as well (Blender on this computer converts it) on if you want an FBX too.
  4. Click Export the framed artwork. The button reads Exporting... while it works.
  5. When it is done, the picture lists the files, and Open the folder opens it. The button becomes Export again.

Before exporting, the artwork is made again with every choice you set, so the export always matches your last settings. If it is still being made, the Studio asks you to export again in a moment.

What you get

One folder named after your material (<Name> below stands for that name), holding:

The asset is in metres, with Y up. Its origin is the centre of the frame's back, on the wall: place it on a wall and it hangs right.

Free trial

In the free trial, exports are up to 2K, with a small Matelume watermark on the colour map. The Export step says so in its facts.

Note: Exporting again under the same name writes into the same folder and replaces its files. Change the name at the top of the Studio to keep both versions.
